Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Whitmore Reans Health Centre

Full Time (Part Time considered)

Hours and rate of pay negotiable

The Practice is looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team of 6 GP’s, 2 ANP’s, 4 nurses and an HCA.

We are a Medical and Teaching Practice with a list size of 14300.   Our main surgery is located at Whitmore Reans and we have two branch Surgeries located at Ednam Road, Goldthorn Park and Pendeford Health Centre. Our clinical system is EMIS Web.

The essential qualities we are looking for in our Advanced Nurse Practitioner applicants are:

  • First level Registered Nurse

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner Qualification

  • Independent Prescribing Qualification

  • Clinical experience – working in primary health care would be advantageous

  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills

  • Mentorship Course would be desirable

  • Duties within the role:

  • Providing advanced level of autonomous nursing practices to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and refer patients.

  • Always acting with the parameters of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, Emergency Nurse Practice and NP Scope of Practice.

  • Delivering holistic health care for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems using advanced nursing skills

  • Utilise independent/supplementary prescribing skills for benefits of patient care

  • Assist in clinical audit and the monitoring of services

  • Support other staff in their development and participate in supervision, teaching and mentorship to help new staff develop and achieve competency.

  • Keep accurate and up to date records during patient consultations with the relevant software.
