Claire Skidmore has had a long-standing career in NHS finance and has held senior positions for around eight years.
Her role before joining Wolverhampton CCG was Acting Director of Finance on the board of Wolverhampton PCT.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and holds a Master’s degree in business administration.
She manages Wolverhampton CCG’s finances, which includes giving expert advice to the governing body to ensure the CCG meets its legal accounting and auditing requirements.
In addition, she is the lead for governance, meaning that she is responsible for making sure processes are applied properly.
She is keen to work with other agencies and strengthen the CCG’s relationship with its member practices to tackle health inequalities in the city and improve outcomes for patients.
She has always lived and worked in the Black Country.
