NHS Wolverhampton clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted for a prestigious national award. The CCG has been shortlisted for a Health Service Journal (HSJ) Award under the category of CCG of the Year for 2017.
This year there were over 1,500 entries with only the top ten in each category being shortlisted. The event is the most prestigious in the healthcare calendar and will be attended by the entire NHS leadership, government officials and international leaders in healthcare.
Dr Helen Hibbs, Accountable Officer of NHS Wolverhampton CCG said, “This is a remarkable achievement and recognises all the hard work and commitment of our staff and GPs. It is a success just to get shortlisted as competition is very tough. We are proud of the achievements of the whole team in their ongoing commitment to improving the health of local people in Wolverhampton. We look forward to hearing about the winners at the awards’ ceremony in November.”
The award entry focussed on our collaborative approach working with clinicians, patients and staff. The CCG stated their commitment to an innovative integrated health and social care approach. The CCG are committed to improving services through change the region, whilst remaining true to their mission statement; ‘right care, right place, right time’.
A presentation and interview will take place with independent panels in October and November with the Awards Ceremony being on Wednesday 22 November at Intercontinental O2, London.
